Sometimes adoptees and birth parents feel some of their identity is missing when they are apart from one another. Sometimes adoptive parents want help providing answers concerning medical background and other questions presented by their adopted child, or they simply wonder where their child(ren) got their smile.

LFS provides adoption reunion search services in Nebraska and Kansas to birth parents, siblings, adoptees, and adoptive families, who want information or to reunite with each other. (Read how the Carol & Michelle were reunited after being separated for almost 20 years!) We can only provide these services if you received adoption services through LFS previously or if your adoption records were previously held by Lutheran Social Service (LSS) of Kansas/Oklahoma.

We also provide a non-identifying internet registry that lists birth demographics so birth relatives can contact LFS for assistance in reconnecting with family.
