Are You Suffering from Stress?
Stress is part of daily life, but too much stress can make you miserable, worried, sad, and ill.
If you live your life running from one situation to the next and are often late, you may be suffering from stress.
Your stress and tension are heightened if you are also highly critical of yourself.
To help beat stress, try thinking nurturing, caring thoughts. Learn to affirm yourself. Stress can be lessened
if you take charge of your life and take time to laugh and care for yourself.
Are you experiencing any of the following?
- Sudden changes in attitude
- Short temper; irritability
- Decreased work efficiency
- Diminished initiative
- Depression
- Withdrawal from others
- Changes in eating and/or sleeping habits
- Increased illness and physical problems
- Using alcohol and/or drugs to cope and relax
If you are experiencing two or more of the above conditions, consider talking to a counselor at one of the
Lutheran Family Services office locations.
