The Targeted Adult Service Coordination Program (TASC) is a non-fee service
program consisting of several levels of services for those entering
Emergency Protective Custody or are at high risk of entering Emergency
Protective Custody:
Services include:
- Crisis Response Teams - As requested by law enforcement
agencies, licensed mental health practitioners provide crisis intervention
services and mental health triage assessment 24/7.
- Emergency
Community Support - a short-term program that helps adults
in crisis
- Intensive Care Management - provides client-centered
services for "high utilizers" of behavioral health services to
avoid high costs of continuous care, reduce resources spent and
decrease morbidity and mortality. Available only in Lancaster County,
Nebraska
- Bilingual/Bicultural Service Coordination - helps
non- and limited-English speaking individuals receive mental health
and/or substance abuse treatment at community-based facilities before
their situation requires Emergency Protective Custody. Available only
in Lancaster County, Nebraska.
These services support both the Emergency and Community Support Levels of Care,
and occur through the provision of specialized case management/service
coordinating services and a 24-hour crisis response component.
TASC provides goal-oriented and individualized supports focusing on improved
self-sufficiency for persons served through assessment, planning,
linkage, advocacy, coordination, and monitoring activities, and may
provide occasional supportive counseling and crisis intervention
services when allowed by regulatory or funding authorities. Programs
work to achieve connectedness based on choice of the persons served.
TASC is a collaboration of Lutheran Family Services,
Blue Valley Behavioral Health Centers and House of Hope. TASC
services all 16 counties the Region V catchments area. Funding provided
by Region V.
