Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment is available in many of LFS' Nebraska offices.

These services are available for persons who have abused drugs or alcohol or have been diagnosed as chemically dependent if they can be treated in the community with sessions offered three or less times per week.

Outpatient Mental Health Counseling is also available in most of LFS' Nebraska locations. In this program, individual, family and group therapists assess and treat mental health disorders and problems related to everything from everyday stress to chronic mental health disorders that disrupt ones ability to function appropriately at home, in the community and in the workplace.

Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska accepts most major insurance coverage for outpatient mental health services. We also offer sliding fees to individuals and families without insurance for mental health and who are eligible for a state mental health subsidy because of income.

Subsidy funds for this program are received from Region IV Behavioral Healthcare, Region V Systems, Region VI Behavioral Healthcare and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
