Locations | Experts | How You Can Help This Program
Former prisoners have many needs that must be met as they
adjust to life outside prison. You can help make their transition
back in to society easier by donating certain basic, everyday
items. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Items Most Urgently Needed:
- Clothing: Seasonal clothing for work, including coveralls
and overalls
- Personal care items: alarm clocks, men's toiletries,
phones and radios
- Bedroom: Dressers
- Kitchen: Pots and pans
- Living room: End
tables and coffee tables
- Transportation: Adult men's bicycles, cars, and trucks
Other Necessary Items:
- Men's clothing, especially in the larger sizes and
especially work clothing, including shoes, jeans, shirts, socks
and underwear
- Personal care items including towels, wash cloths,
razors, cologne, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Bedroom items such as full- and twin-size beds and
bedding, and chests of drawers or dressers
- Kitchen housewares, including pots and pans, dishes,
silverware, storage containers, dish towels, microwaves, toasters,
coffee pots and other small appliances (we cannot take major appliances like washers, dryers, stoves and refrigerators), tables and chairs
- Living Room items such as couches, easy chairs, end
tables, coffee tables, lamps for every room, computer desks and
bookshelves
