OMAHA (8/19/10) – An acclaimed new documentary about soldiers stationed in
Afghanistan’s Korengal Valley—one of the most dangerous postings in the U.S. military—will lead to a dialogue about post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as part of a collaborative film event next month.
On Thursday, September 16, at 7 p.m., Film Streams, At Ease USA and Lutheran Family Services will present a special screening of the documentary RESTREPO with a post-show panel discussion on the treatment of PTSD. The film, which will
show for two weeks at Film Streams’ Ruth Sokolof Theater starting Friday, September 10, focuses on a remote, 15-man outpost named “Restrepo” in memory of a platoon medic who was killed in action.
