Adoption Fair Celebrates Omaha’s Waiting Children
Omaha, Neb – Nearly 3,000 children in Omaha are in out-of-home care. Is there room in your heart and home to help a child in need?
An Adoption Fair will be held in the pavilion on Sunday, July 1 from noon to 6 pm at Village Pointe Shopping Center at 168th & Dodge Streets. Information about adopting children in the foster care system will be available.
The Adoption Fair, sponsored by the Adoption Partnership – Adoption Links Worldwide, Child Saving Institute, Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska and Wendy's Wonderful Kids – will feature fun and interactive activities for children and families, and information about Nebraska's foster children who are waiting to be adopted. Available activities include face painting, temporary tattoos and balloons!
Information about domestic and international adoption also will be available at the Adoption Fair. Families interested in foster care also can receive information.
The fair will feature images from the Nebraska Heart Gallery – a collection of portraits of the children in foster care in the Omaha area who are waiting for a loving adoptive family. Families will have the opportunity to look through photographs and biographies of children who are a part of the Adoption Partnership. For more information, contact the Adoption Partnership Hotline at (402) 933-0377.
