LFS Named Nonprofit of the Year

The Nonprofit of the Year awards were presented to Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska and to Family Service at the Nebraska Nonprofit Summit Nov.1 in Lincoln. The inaugural event for the region’s nonprofit organizations and their supporters was organized by the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM), the Human Services Federation of Lancaster County and EndowNebraska.

LFS President & CEO Ruth Henrichs proudly accepted the award on behalf of LFS from NAM executive director David Catalan. “It is a real honor for all of us at LFS to receive the Nonprofit of the Year award from a collaborative group of nonprofit organizations and human service agencies striving to improve services to Nebraska communities through networking, professional development, visionary thinking and strategic planning,” said Henrichs.
