Peck and Schneider join Lutheran Family Services Board of Directors

Amy L. Peck of Waterloo, Nebraska, and Pastor Carlos Schneider of Omaha were appointed to the Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, Inc. Board of Directors. Lutheran Family Services is a statewide, faith-based, nonprofit agency providing human care services that build and strengthen individual, family and community life.

photo of Amy PeckAmy L. Peck is in private practice with Peck Law Firm in Omaha, practicing exclusively in immigration law. She is an elected member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Board of Governors, in which she serves in leadership roles on several committees. Amy received the AILA National Presidential Award for Outstanding Efforts on Worksite Enforcement, and she has been quoted in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal on employment and enforcement immigration issues. She is a United Way Skilled Immigrant Vision Council member and a Black/Brown Coalition member. Amy is a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn.

photo of Rev. Carlos SchneiderRev. Carlos Schneider serves as Senior Pastor at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha. He has also served congregations in Sacramento and Wasco, California, and Miami, Florida. Pastor Schneider received a Master of Divinity Degree through Lutheran School of Theology—Chicago and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Fluent in several languages, Pastor Schneider has an extensive community service background, including involvement with the Cuban Refugee Services in Miami, the United Farmworker Ministries in Wasco, Cottage Housing, Inc., Loaves and Fishes and Central Downtown Food Basket in Sacramento, and the Downtown Rotary and Church Neighbors United in Omaha.
