FREMONT, Neb. (June 26, 2015) – On June 16, Tom Christensen, CEO of Christensen Lumber visited the Rupert Dunklau Center for Health FamiliesⓇ to distribute books to children from his Library on Wheels. The Library on Wheels is one of four auction items won by Christensen during the Fremont Family Friends fundraising event held Jun 9 to support the Center.
“The children were thrilled to receive such beautiful books,” said Christy Fiala, Regional Services Director for Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska.
The children’s parents are enrolled in the Spanish Nurturing Parenting Program, a 16 week parenting education class. The class is offered three times a year at the Center and is designed to build parenting skills for families.
