Almost 23 years ago, this wonderful young man came into our lives at the age of 5 days, with the help of Lutheran Family Services. Thank you!

He was a great kid (most of the time) and a great big brother (most of the time). He did well in school, played the flute, soccer and baseball, and wrestled. He was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and an Eagle Scout.

He worked at the zoo, at Target and Baker’s, delivered newspapers, and detassled corn.

He spent his senior year of high school as an exchange student in Germany.

In college, he has been an excellent student, while working at the campus computer lab.

After graduation, he will go to Germany to visit friends, then he hopes to attend a summer program at Rutgers University. At the end of the summer, he will move to Minnesota to be near a lovely young woman with whom he has been friends since they were both exchange students in Germany. He plans to work to save money for graduate school. He wasn’t to earn his doctorate in philosophy and teach at the college level.

The past years have gone by so fast. We will always be grateful for the help of Lutheran Family Services, and the strength and caring of Kevin’s first mother during a very difficult and painful time in her life. I sincerely hope she still feels she made the right decision, and that her life has gone well. Feel free to share information about Kevin with her is she should ask. I think she would be proud of what a wonderful person he has been his whole life.
