FREMONT, Neb. (January 19, 2016) – Bradley D. Holtorf has been elected chair of the board of directors for Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS). Holtorf has served on the LFS board of directors since 2011, most recently as vice chair.

“Brad brings to his new role common sense leadership and a strong commitment to human care ministry,” said Ruth Henrichs, president and CEO of LFS. “He is a true servant leader with the ability to engage everyone in the conversation.”OK

“It is a pleasure to serve with the other directors of LFS and to work with the dedicated staff,” said Holtorf. “As always, LFS will continue to serve those in need.”

Holtorf was born in Fremont, Nebraska. He graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he received a Bachelor of Science in 1974, majoring in accounting and economics. Holtorf received his juris doctor in 1977 from the Nebraska College of Law, graduated with distinction, was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Nebraska Law Review.  Upon graduation, Holtorf joined the law firm Sidner, Svoboda, Schilke, Thomsen, Holtorf, Boggy, Nick & Placek, where he has been a partner since 1981. He is a member of the Nebraska State Bar and Dodge County Bar Associations.

Holtorf replaces Peter Zandbergen who retired from the board in December 2015.
