LINCOLN, Neb. (August 31, 2016) – On Thursday, September 8, Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) will recognize Lincoln community leaders whose actions demonstrate humble service at this year’s Faith in Action® event.  The evening will celebrate an expanded human care footprint in Lincoln, including the Health 360 Integrated Care Clinic with a special focus on “Growing Health and Hope for All People.” Faith  in Action® is an annual event honoring friends and supporters of LFS who share in the LFS vision of safety, hope and well-being for all people. This year, the following community leaders will be honored for their selfless service and contributions to human care:

  • TMCO Inc. and Hiroko & Roland Temme Family, with the 2016 Douglas E. Parrott Faith in Action® Award, for extraordinary corporate leadership and faith-filled generosity of time, talent and treasure advancing a globally rich Lincoln community.
  • Community Health Endowment of Lincoln (CHE), as Community Partner of the Year, for outstanding vision and leadership to make Lincoln the “healthiest community in the nation.”
  • Peter W. Zandbergen, as Volunteer of the Year, for galvanizing community resources to strengthen non-profit missions in Nebraska.
  • Vanja Pejanovic, with the LFS Lifetime Achievement Award, for 15 years of passionate service dedicated to welcoming and supporting refugees.
