Over the past year and a half, Amanda Reinert has begun talking about what she feels is a taboo topic.
As part of her talks as the reigning Mrs. Nebraska USA Universal, Reinert has told people of the times a male relative sexually abused her when she was between the ages of 2 and 6. And about the time when she was 11, when a close family friend sexually abused her in a tent.
Tonight, Reinert will serve as the emcee of the Fandango and Wicker and Wine event, a fundraiser for Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska.
