MEET: Erin Bader – Statewide Administrator of Children Services

Erin Bader has served as the Children Services Director of Permanency and Well-Being programs at Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska for the past two and one-half years. She has also filled in as the Interim Director of Right Turn® for eight months, an education and support program for adoptive parents and guardians throughout the state of Nebraska. Previously, she was the supervisor for LFS’ Permanency Programs, which are focused on “family finding” for children in foster care.

Before joining LFS, she was a Children’s Social Worker with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services for nearly 4 years. Erin was with the Nebraska Foster Care Review Office for about one year before going to California to obtain her graduate degree. She also served in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services as a Protection and Safety Worker for approximately two years.

Erin has completed the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands Executive Leadership Institute Fellowship program. She is active in professional and local associations, including the New Leaders Council Omaha, Launch Leadership, Nebraska Normalcy Taskforce, and the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation Older Youth Directors Group.

A native of Omaha, Erin attended undergraduate school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Resources and Family Sciences degree and later attended the University of California, Los Angeles earning her Master’s in Social Welfare. She is also a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Nebraska.
