LFS received six awards: The 2011 Annual Report won an Award of Excellence and two Awards of Merit. The 120th Anniversary Video won an Award of Excellence. And the Connections newsletter and the Fremont fundraiser video each won Awards of Merit.

Right Turn®, a collaboration between LFS and Nebraska Children’s Home Society, received an Adoption Excellence Award for the extraordinary contributions it has made in providing adoption and other permanency outcomes for children in foster care.

LFS and Bailey Lauerman were awarded in the Multicultural Campaign Not-For-Profit category for the “Well Mothers. Welcome Babies.” campaign.

National Safety Council Nebraska

LFS received the National Safety Council Nebraska OPPD Service to Community Safety Award for leadership in the treatment of families impacted by sexual abuse. The award encourages effective action in the area of community safety by a nonprofit organization.
