Omaha Public Schools Staff Support Group

Lutheran Family Services has partnered with Omaha Public Schools to facilitate an education and support group for OPS employees who are struggling with the chronic stress and fatigue brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. This eight-week program is led by LFS therapist Joe Rodriguez. Topics to be covered include:
- Educator stress and anxiety
- Self-care and wellness planning
- Active listening skills
- Conflict management
- Dealing with change
- Coping skills
Sessions take place in-person on Tuesdays, from 5-6:30 PM, at Lutheran Family Services’ Downtown Omaha facility at 124 South 24th (Enter in the door adjacent to the parking lot on the north side of the building). For your safety and ours, masks are required. Attendance at all 8 sessions is encouraged.
There is no cost to attend this program thanks to the generosity of United Way of the Midlands. This group is open to any Omaha Public Schools staff ONLY, but capacity is limited to 12 individuals.
