As part of the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties, LFS Family Liaisons work with at-risk families within certain Omaha Public Schools elementary schools to reduce truancy and other barriers to learning and achievement.

Services are available to teachers and parents to help elementary students reach their educational potential, particularly those facings challenges due to issues such as poverty, limited English skills and mobility.

To ensure everyone is working toward the same goals for the child, Family Liaisons improve the coordination of services the child receives, such as therapy, counseling or medical visits.

Eligibility: At a minimum, families with children five and under that live in North or South Omaha qualify for services. To learn more, please call (402) 661-3133.
